By using Now We Speak, you agree to these terms. Our platform exists to amplify the voices of those who have escaped oppressive regimes. We ask all users to engage respectfully and honestly.

Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts is not permitted.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use this platform.

Story Submissions

• Stories must be your own authentic experience or submitted with the explicit permission of the person whose story it is.
• All stories are subject to review by our moderation team before publication.
• You retain ownership of your story content. By submitting, you grant Now We Speak a non-exclusive license to display your story on the platform.
• You may withdraw your story at any time by deleting it from your dashboard (for unpublished stories) or contacting our team (for published stories).

Content Guidelines

Stories should focus on hope, resilience, and the journey to freedom. The following content is not permitted:

• Fabricated or plagiarized stories.
• Content that endangers individuals still under oppressive regimes.
• Hate speech, discrimination, or content promoting violence.
• Spam, advertising, or promotional content.
• Content that violates the privacy of others without their consent.

Community Vouching

• Vouching for a story is a statement that you believe the story to be authentic based on your personal knowledge.
• Fraudulent vouching (vouching for stories you have no knowledge of) may result in account suspension.

Comments

• Comments are moderated before publication.
• Be respectful and supportive. Remember that storytellers are sharing deeply personal experiences.
• Do not attempt to identify anonymous or pseudonymous authors.

Moderation

Our moderation team reviews all stories for authenticity and adherence to our guidelines. We may request additional information, changes, or decline to publish stories that do not meet our standards. Moderation decisions can be appealed by contacting our team.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings or by contacting us.

Disclaimer

Now We Speak is provided as-is. While we work hard to verify story authenticity, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of every detail in every story. The platform is not a substitute for professional legal, immigration, or mental health services.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
